Help Your Pet Stay Calm and Stay Safe During Fireworks

Fireworks can be stressful for pets. If your animal companion gets anxious during July 4th celebrations, we’re here to help. The Kaua‘i Humane Society’s Community Care Center is offering:

Anti-Anxiety Medication, Sileo (for dogs), a trusted anti-anxiety medication designed specifically for noise-related stress. For cats, we offer alternative calming medication options.

Microchipping to help ensure your pet can be safely returned home if they become lost during the festivities.

Appointments are available for our Tuesday and Saturday Community Care Center days with a $20 deposit

Walk-Ins Accepted
Walk-in hours are 10 AM – 1 PM on Tuesdays and Saturdays leading up to July 4th (The CCC and KHS will closed on July 4th)

Please be advised: You may experience wait times if you choose to walk in.

Pricing

Existing Community Care Center Clients: $40 for the medication, if you’re pet has already had a medical exam within 1 year, you can pick up your pet’s anti-anxiety medication without your pet being present.

New Clients:

    • $50 for yearly general health check for your pet (required for new patients)

    • $40 for the anti-anxiety medication after the health check

Important Information
  • Your pet must be present for the appointment or walk-in visit if you are not an established CCC client and your pet has not received a health checkup within the last year.

  • Our veterinarians will perform a basic exam and discuss all prescriptions or services with you prior to proceeding.

  • Sileo is safe and effective in helping dogs cope with loud noises like fireworks
