They take after their dad, Maui Jr., who is also at our shelter. Field-trippers describe Mona Lisa and Lily as mellow, gentle, cuddly, and affectionate. They ride well in cars, love kids, and adore belly rubs!

Our 2023 in Review

In 2023, KHS prioritized community services, marking our first full year of running CCC while continuing to operate mobile clinics for the houseless community. Our biggest push was addressing pet overpopulation, resulting in over 3,000 spay/neuter surgeries performed in one year.

KHS  is a local, independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  KHS has been serving the island of Kaua’i as its only open-intake animal shelter since 1952.
