KHS is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Days, so taking a shelter pet home gives that animal so much more attention than they would otherwise get. Nobody wants to spend the holidays alone.

If you find an animal you’d like to take home, write their name in the form.

Just pick what type of animal you’d like to take home and staff will match you up with an animal that would greatly benefit from even two nights away from the shelter.

*Please note if the animal you choose is transferred or adopted beforehand, we will match you with a similar animal to the one you originally chose.

If you fall in love with your new friend, their adoption fee will be 50% off during the Home for the Holidays promotion.

Pick up anytime before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and return anytime after Thanksgiving within business hours. KHS will be closed Thanksgiving day and we are also closed every Thursday.
