Losing a pet can be devastating for you and your family. Often, it’s not only the loss of a friend but of a family member. For pet loss support, please contact us at 632-0610.
The decision for final disposition of your pet is a personal choice. The Kauai Humane Society offers a few options for a final resting-place for your pet. We have cremation services as well as honorariums. Making a memorial is a lovely way to pay tribute to a special pet or person.
We offer cremation services during regular business hours:
8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday through Monday
We ask for a $35 donation for euthanizing your pet.
At this time we offer cremation services for cats and dogs only.
Under 30 pounds
31 to 50 pounds
51 to 80 pounds
81 to 100 pounds
101 to 125 pounds
Over 125
We will pick up animal remains within 48 hours of request and have ashes available for pick up or delivery back to the clinic within 14 days. We charge a $25 pick-up or $25 drop-off fee for transporting remains to and from the shelter.
Communal cremations are $2 per pound of body weight plus the $25 pick-up fee.
